How to ride Amman Bus?

By purchasing a prepaid card and charging it with sufficient credit from any of our sales points, or buying a one-time QR code ticket through Amman Bus app (a credit card is needed for this option).

Can I purchase the card from the bus driver?

The cards are not available on the bus. You can purchase the card from the selling points and the distribution centers only.

How much does the passenger’s card cost?

The card’s price is 1 JOD incl. sales tax, given that it is charged a minimum of 50 piasters.

How much does the single trip cost?

How can I check my card’s balance?

• By checking the card reader as it displays the balance on the screen when you swipe the card.

Could more than one person use the same card?

The card is used only for one passenger.

Could the card be used for other bus networks?

The card can be used for Amman Bus only.

Where are the bus stops?

Does the bus stop in any spot?

Getting on/off the bus will be at the designated stops only; it will not be possible to get on/off between the stops except for emergencies.

What are the bus operating hours?

Sat – Thu: 06:00 – 22:00

Fri: 08:00 – 21:00

Does the bus reach other cities in Jordan?

Amman Bus routes operate within Amman only.

What is the frequency of the buses?

Buses run every 20-30 minutes.

What are the opening hours for the card selling points?

Sat – Thu: 07:00 – 17:00 except Al Mahatta 07:00 - 20:00
